QR codes as you know them are pretty much for relaying a small bit of data to whatever device you scan them with. Denso is the company that started QR codes. I had a brief conversation with Kevin Bradshaw, the ADC Business Development & Sales manager for the US. He was happy to take some time away form what he was doing to relay some information to me about the new wave of QR.

One of the more interesting bits of info was the idea of hidden data QR. There are encryption keys that can be placed inside a code which can only be accessed by certain devices. So the idea is you could keep a customers personal data encrypted, which everyone else who scans the QR could get their public info they would want relayed. You can also embed your face into the code without losing data, which I did.  The QR scanned easily and quickly with my QR app, then opened this website.
