Microsoft Surface RT is a very nice device. It is meant to compete with an iPad, but have more desktop functionality for a better mobile computing experience. The problem was most people don’t get what the tablets do, or they just don’t care. The RT originally had a $500 starting price point which is pretty high to see if you would like a completely new mobile OS. Microsoft has slashed that price to just $349 which is only $20 more than an iPad mini for the 10 inch tablet. The keyboard cover will still run you $100, which may also see a price drop soon. Staples has already placed the RT on sale for $349 and other retailers should follow this week.
