LG had a pretty interesting press conference that just ended introducing their new flagship phone, the G2. The G2′s most notable feature is the company moved the power and volume buttons to the back of the device. LG believes most people keep their index finger on the back. I don’t, Todd doesn’t. Who knows if LG is on to something here. Either way, the specs of this phone are beastly. Its got the largest screen in a 2.7 inch wide handset at 5.2 inches sporting just a 1mm bezel. The phone is just 9mm thick which is impressive considering the 3000 mAh battery and buttons being on the back. The G2 sports the Qualcomm 800 processor which blows away every other phone processor on the market today. Here is a rundown of the specs:
- Processor: 2.26GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon™ 800 featuring quad Krait CPU
- Display: 5.2-inch Full HD IPS (1080 x 1920 pixels / 423 ppi)
- Memory: 32GB / 16GB with sd slot
- RAM: 2GB
- Camera: Rear 13.0MP / Front 2.1MP
- Battery: 3,000mAh
- Operating System: Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2
- Size: 138.5 x 70.9 x 8.9mm
The G2 will be available on all four major US carriers. Now ord on when or for how much. Has LG done enough with this device to convince you to try it out? LG is trying to push itself into the space HTC has left behind with falling sales and they hope this is the device to do it.
